Our NYFW 2022 Predictions
As a brand that is proud to call New York City home, we love when February rolls around in Manhattan. An uncommon sentiment of many New Yorkers, we know. It's the time of year when the air is frigid and going outside feels like a chore, but it's also the time of year when our gray winter streets come alive again – if only for six days– for Fashion Week.This year, New York Fashion Week runs from February 11 to 16, and one of our favorite pastimes at Meloway is making our predictions on what the biggest trends of the event will be. And, staying true to the fact that we are a cosmetic brand, we like to shift some of that focus to the top makeup looks making their way up and down the runway.Not surprising, as with the designer pieces we’ll see, we expect makeup to make a major statement this year.We highly expect to see a lot of bold, intricate statement black eyeliner at NYFW 2022. We're talking overdrawn, stenciled looks that put a classic cat eye to shame. We might be a little biased with this one, but it sounds like a job for our Your Way Eyeliner + Remover.At Meloway, we're suckers for a perfectly untamed brow (that's the magic of our best vegan brow gel), but this year we imagine they'll be taken to the next level. By adding a stroke of glitter gel or a heavily pigmented shadow, designers will find a way to incorporate bold eyebrows into their final look.Yes, the '90's are back. And with the revitalization has come Generation Z's intergalactic obsession. From metallics to sheer, iridescent tints, we expect to see a lot of shimmery shades around the Fashion Week venues.
